How to play tennis?

To play tennis, you will need a tennis court, a tennis racket, tennis balls, and a partner or opponent to play against. Here are the basic steps to get started:
Learn the basic rules: Tennis is a sport played between two players (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles). The objective is to hit the ball over the net and into the opponent's court, with the goal of making it difficult for them to return the ball. The game is won by scoring points, with the first player or team to win four points winning a game, and the first player or team to win six games winning a set.
Choose your grip: The way you hold your racket will depend on your playing style and preference. The most common grips are the eastern, semi-western, western, and continental grip. A tennis coach can help you choose the most suitable grip for you.
Practice your serve: The serve is the starting shot of each point and can be a powerful weapon in your game. To serve, stand behind the baseline and toss the ball into the air, hitting it over the net and into the opponent's court. There are several types of serves, including the flat, slice, and kick serve.
Practice your groundstrokes: Groundstrokes are shots hit after the ball has bounced once on the court. The most common groundstrokes are the forehand and backhand. To hit a forehand, hold the racket with your dominant hand and swing it forward in a brushing/sweeping motion, making contact with the ball in front of your body. To hit a backhand, hold the racket with both hands (for a two-handed backhand) or one hand (for a one-handed backhand) and swing it across your body, making contact with the ball on your non-dominant side.
Practice your volleys: Volleys are shots hit before the ball bounces on the court. They are usually hit at the net and require quick reflexes and hand-eye coordination. To hit a volley, hold the racket with a continental grip and chop/punch the ball over the net.
Play a match: Once you have practiced and mastered all of your basic shots, find a partner or opponent to play a match with. Remember to follow the rules of the game and have fun!
